County Battery Services Ltd established in 1974, so has over 40 years’ experience and expertise in servicing customer requirements within the battery industry. Ideally located in the centre of the country with branches within East Midlands, which provides easy access to the whole of the UK.
Due to the continued growth of our business we now looking to recruit a warehouse apprentice to join our committed team, you will have a varied job role within the warehouse and will be expected to progress through different job roles within the company.
County Battery benefit from having every aspect of a business under one roof, as a result your job may include serving on the trade counter, answering phones, building bespoke battery packs, working in e-commerce & social media and much more.
County Battery operate a ‘lean culture’ and strive to constantly reduce waste and motion, you will be encouraged to come up with new and inventive ways of which to help progress yourself and the company forward. Operating as part of a small team the ideal candidate should have no problem taking part in group discussions and working closely with other colleagues.
The company provide a wide range of products, from small household batteries to batteries for lorries and submarines, with sales from pence to thousands and orders from single batteries to full lorry loads. Sectors include plant, automotive, fire alarm, mobility, leisure and many more, including a battery recycling facility.
Apprenticeship: Level 2 Supply Chain Warehouse Operative
- Picking and packing orders for delivery or pickup
- Receiving and checking goods in
- Communicate positively with supervisors, sales staff, fellow workers and customers.
- Operate a forklift safely and efficiently (licence will be provided)
- Battery charging and testing
- Assist in keeping facility clean, neat, safe and operating efficiently
- Assist in developing warehouse and helping company achieve lean vision
- Serving customers on the trade counter
- Building bespoke battery packs
Pay: £4 per hour
(£160 per week with potential to increase during apprenticeship)
Hours: 40 Hours per week
Candidate should be computer literate and moderately physically fit as the job involves heavy lifting and being active and on their feet all day.
